Calphalon Cookware: From A to Z

Everything you always wanted to know about Calphalon cookware but were afraid to ask. Given the popularity of Calphalon cookware and since not one single webpage or blog post has complete information on the whole line of Calphalon  I have decided to blog about it. Calphalon is a well known made in America line of cookware that, in my humble opinion, is second only to All Clad. The original company was called the Commercial Aluminum Cookware Company and in 1968 they developed the method of treating raw aluminum called hard-anodizing and  Commercial Aluminum was the first company to apply this technology to cookware. Originally, hard anodized aluminum was only available to the restaurant industry but in 1975, a line of cookware was introduced to the general public. A few years lated, a nonstick finish was developed and this is when “Calphalon” became a brand name. Nowadays Calphalon has several product lines and it has become a household name, but deciding which Calphalon product to buy can be a nightmare. In order to make matters easy, I have made a list of all their cookware products and categorized them by material. You won’t find another guide like this anywhere else on the Internet.
