Where to Buy:

Every cook needs some sort of bake ware whether it will be to cook a casserole dish, macaroni and cheese a lasagna or some gooey desert.

Le Creuset is one of the best stoneware you can get for the money. Le Creuset’s 1-1/4Quart baker is the perfect size for lasagna sheets fresh pasta sold at most supermarkets.

This pottery is a champion in heating evenly and is attractive enough to be brought directly to the table. This stoneware is available in all the Le Creuset colors if you are looking to match any Le Creuset cast iron or if you just want to coordinate it with your dishes. They are also easy to wash and if something gets stuck it will easily release with a quick soak.

We found that some users have had problems with the stoneware cracking.
It does not do well in a very hot oven. A way to avoid this is to purchase a separate thermometer for your oven. I have an electric oven and it gets very hot. When I turn the dial to 350 degrees, it usually heats up to 450! Because of this I always rely on a separate oven thermometer. The best kind is the mercury type that you can view here

What we liked

This set is extremely well priced. In fact I am not sure why cooks are not grabbing these sets as fast as they make them. Maybe it is because they are not advertised and not endorsed by another celebrity chef  (believe me, celebrity chef cookware is not necessarily good). In fact for the quality, I think it is a “steel” (…uh… steal)

We also liked the stainless steel lids.  We definitely prefer those to the glass see-through ones that are so ever popular. The rims are designed in such a way that it make pouring easy without spilling. They also have those measure marks that we loved!  Comfortable handles and nice enough weight. Not too heavy, not too light.

What we didn’t like

Actually, nothing.

It is hard to find what is not to like about this cookware. It rivals All Clad although it is not made in the USA. It is really a fine piece of cookware, shall we say BETTER than Calphalon stainless steel and not necessarily better but almost equal to All Clad (and that is the best complement I could have for any piece of cookware) You need to check these prices too! This set, for its quality and beauty, is definitely affordable!
