Le Creuset Stoneware Review

Buy from Wayfair.com Buy from Amazon.com

Every cook needs some sort of bakeware whether it will be to cook a casserole dish, macaroni and cheese a lasagna or some gooey desert.

Le Creuset is one of the best stoneware you can get for the money. Le Creuset’s 1-1/4Quart baker is the perfect size for lasagna sheets fresh pasta sold at most supermarkets.

This pottery is a champion in heating evenly and is attractive enough to be brought directly to the table. This stoneware is available in all the Le Creuset colors if you are looking to match any Le Creuset cast iron or if you just want to coordinate it with your dishes. They are also easy to wash and if something gets stuck it will easily release with a quick soak.

We found that some users have had problems with the stoneware cracking.
Apparently, it does not do well in a very hot oven.  A way to avoid this is to purchase a separate thermometer for your oven. I have an electric oven and it gets very hot. In fact, when I turn the dial to 350 degrees, it usually heats up to 450!  Because of this I always rely on a separate oven thermometer.  The best and most accurate thermometer is the mercury type, as opposed to the coil thermometers that look like a dial. Those can be just as bad as your knob or electronic oven setting. It is not expensive at all.
